Class Descriptions - Shamrocks introduces children to the world of Irish dance music and culture. We focus on attention skills, foot placement, counting, rhythm, memorization and basic motor skills. With the help of a Parent or other Adult. (30 min. class)
- New Beginner Classes focus on learning the stretching routine and how to perform it properly as well as the first two soft shoe dances, the reel and the light jig. We work on foot placment, rhythm and timing. (45 minute class)
- New Beginner Adult Classes focus on learning the stretching routine and how to perform it porperly as well as the first four soft shoe dance. We will also learn ceili dancing (group dances). When the four soft dances have been mastered the adult dancers are integrated into the Childrens Int A class level. (1 hour class)
- Adult AM Exercise Class Focus on fun exercise and stretching techniques while learning irish dance. Soft shoe and ceili dancing. (1 hour class)
Children wear shorts and a t-shirt with black ballet slippers and socks. Adults may wear what ever clothing they feel comfortable dancing in and supportive tennis shoes (unless they have been attending other dance classes on a regular basis.
